Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Foot Soldiers are the ninjas serving the Shredder in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe. Typically depicted as an army of largely unskilled and easily defeated opponents, their primary role is to be fodder for the Turtles. They first appeared in the 1987 animated TV series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In the 1987 cartoon, the Foot Soldiers were originally robotic in nature, created by Krang using technology from Dimension X. This allowed them to be destroyed without any moral qualms for the heroes. Bebop and Rocksteady were often tasked with leading them.

Later iterations of the TMNT franchise would often portray the Foot Soldiers as human ninjas, though sometimes with enhanced abilities or weaponry. Their effectiveness varies across different versions, but they consistently serve as a constant threat and a symbol of Shredder's power.
